Paul wrote the first of these two letters to encourage the new Christians at Thessalonica to persevere and “excel still more.”  In his subsequent letter, his focus is false teaching and undisciplined members of their body.  In both epistles, Paul taught about the expectation of Christ’s return, both for believers and unbelievers.  Because of their frequent mention of the return of Christ, the two letters to the Thessalonians have sometimes been called “the eschatological (end times) epistles.”  With a view to the Lord's glorious return, this study highlights how believers are to live today in light of this glorious hope!
