In Ecclesiastes 1:17, Solomon reveals his thesis for the entire book:  “I set my mind to know wisdom and to know madness and folly.”  After exhausting all the wrong paths to find satisfaction, the true meaning of life, Solomon lands upon the wisest of verdicts: “The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person” (12:13).  By the end of his life’s journey, the wisest man and also the biggest fool in the world has at last discovered True Wisdom.  This pursuit will likewise be yours as you embark upon the study of Ecclesiastes.
