Remembered mostly as a story for children, a careful study of this little book reveals so much more!  The Lord sends Jonah on a “mission of mercy” to Nineveh, but the recipients of the Lord’s compassion extend way beyond the great city. Ultimately, it is Jonah himself who needs to learn his need for God’s mercy the most—a lesson we all need to learn!
